more pleasing to the eye on the top one imo

whoa, the bottom one looks freaky! but i stand firm in my belief that the tear ducts are in the shadowy corners (so, the bottom one would be correct). the white part of the print makes the tear ducts more ambiguous in the smaller photos posted above, but in the larger photo that ideabolo posted in the other thread is more obvious.

Re: Which way looks anatomically correct?
If you spread the bottom prints out a bit more instead of placing them right next to each other it would look better, if your going to place them right next to each other with no space between the prints the top one looks better.
Try the bottom with 6-10" of space between the prints and see how that turns out.

Then we should move it to "Pretty Vacant" where it belongs.

I just took a portrait that has some similarities (but softer light and prettier eyes ):
http://www.flickr.com/photos/patjensen/2636070570/
You can see the similarities (the nose shadow to the left of her eye, the light falloff to the right side, the catchlight in the eye) none of the similarities are as harsh, but they're still there.

neither...it's same eye flipped horizontally, so the symmetry/irregularity of the human face is off just slightly enough to make it always appear "odd"...
