How to break down time periods....

it is generally accepted that old prints refers to 1995-2000....

i would tend to agree with that, but with the recent appearance of a few 1994/1995, it feels like there is a need to split out another subgrouping....

for example, if you look at 1994/1995 vs. 1996, they feel like a different era....1996 really, IMO, is the beginning of Obey Giant as we know it...

agree? disagree? have a suggestion for a name for 1995 and before?


In addition, I think this past year we saw a new era unfold/old era die with the prints that originated at Rise Above...

I would suggest that the 1995 era stuff be thought of maybe as the Alternate Graphics era. At least the stuff I have seen is all very connected to his business (which was Alternate Graphics) and probably much of the design was done with the thought that he would use it for his business.
