Printed by feature

Post by smartussi »

I am not sure how readily available this information is, but I think it would be a greatly added benefit to be able to supply if Shepard printed a give print or not.....an example being the new Chinease soldiers that are about to drop were printed by another person, where-as the soup can prints were (acourding to Ironclast) printed by shepard himself.....

Thoughts?
Is this infmation able to be added to the WIKI if we find a reliable source?

I am also under this impression, so I think it would be interesting to see which of the older prints were printed by him...
...to me these prints that were actually printed by him would hold more value, than ones contracted out

Printed by?

There are many artists, Jeff Koons comes immediately to mind, that don't do ANY of their own work. They come up with the idea and pay others to execute the art. But they DO sign theirs names to it and cash the check when it sells.

Shepard personally told me in an email that he stopped pulling the prints himself in his garage half way through 99.

So anything before that.
Anyways... I think that info is somewhere in the wiki already.
I really hate PMs. Please just email me.

No it wasn't. He hasn't printed his own poster for years....no time. But rest assured that he CLOSELY supervises all print runs and is always very particular and how inks/colors are mixed, etc.
