100% shill. There's NO WAY anyone would pay $1000 for that set.
how can it be shilled when it is a BIN offer... ?

easy, just because someone hits the "buy now" button doesn't mean a sale actually took place. the seller could have a friend buy it but never pay for it and then file an unpaid item claim with ebay and not pay any fees. it still goes on record on EB and hear as a sale even if the sale never takes place because we have to way of knowing if the sale actually went through...

or the buyer could have mistakingly hit the buy button or realized it was a stupid purchase and backed out before paying.

either way, it's a bogus sale.

While I understand how you might THINK it's a bogus sale, you certainly have no proof of this, so...to state it as a fact is a bit unfair. I certainly wouldn't value these prints at $1000, but they have sold over $600 on two or three occasions in the past (unless every recorded sale has been bogus), so...while there is the POSSIBILITY that the sale is bogus, there is also the same POSSIBILITY that the sale went through. Your opinion is certainly valid...but I think it should be stated as opinion rather than fact.

i agree with comiconart - crazier things have happened, and those eyes don't come up as often as they used to on the bay. they've been creeping up and people impulse shop on ebay. although i don't doubt there are attempts at price fixing.

Seems like a lot of effort to move the price of something most people don't care about....crazier things have happened though. I will say that I find it odd that the two prints I sold (180 south for 10.50 and Nico for 26.52) that were all time lows were not shown on EB.

you can add them to EB if you want, click on the 'for sale' on that print's page tab and add the auction ID. plus you get points! glooooorious POINTS!

But you fail to see the real reason it's fact, it's because Fribhey said so, that in itself makes it true.

Just added them. Thanks for the tip, I didn't know I could do that. Adding them strangely made me feel better about basically giving them away.

the auction that went for 3k+ was all offsets. The set of 4 lithos when for way less. I live 400 yards from this auction house and am bringing them stuff this week. It was my first live auction I ever attended and it was cool. Crazy that the Shep pieces were literally the last lot, I had to stay for the whole thing. Luckily, the piece I was bidding on was at the end as well so I had a reason to stay put.

Do you mind sharing how it turns out? I poke around liveauctioneers.com and have noticed in the past that a lot of the lower value Fairey prints go for multiples of their value while some of the higher value prints are about right or lower than their value. Example....MayDay Flag sold for $375 while a creased Black on Black sold for $150 and New World Odor sold for $300.

So this is legit? You saw somebody actually pay over a grand for Sunset and Vine?
