I set an alarm to wake me up for the end. At 5 minutes 'til and the current bid was over my max, I went back to bed.

I think we all experienced that problem going after the Iraq print. Ridiculous... I think the Ministry Of Information print was a bargain at GBP 165.00.

I cant believe greetings from iraq sold for only $14 less than ministry of information...

goes to show that prints' worth isnt just based on rarity or age

You got that right. I would love to see this poster pasted up somewhere in Baghdad. Someone want to photoshop it along with a Saddam?

This is the same seller as the "revolution" print i posted above, that the seller ended because the "print is no longer available."

I'll end an auction early if somebody makes me an offer higher than what I'd expect the piece to fetch. However I wasn't expecting my arab woman to go for over 200 either, so I guess you take a risk even when you think you're making out.

I ended that auction because I did indeed accept an offer I couldn't refuse from another board member. It's the first of hundreds of auctions I ever ended, I didn't like to do it, but like I said, it was an offer I couldn't refuse.

I was concerned that I spent 350 this morning for one of these, but it appears to have been a good buy if these prices hold.

so i trade one of my ali prints for a rose soldier earlier this month...my print came damaged in shipping, his print got to him mint...now that ali is rocking and jocking on ebay like this it is only making me even more annoyed...

i would have been fine with the trade had it all gone smoothly, but alas it did not...i ended up with a wrinkled piece of garbage - he ended up with a mint $300 print...

lesson learned? insure trades. for $3 or something I could have picked up a mint rose soldier with the insurance loot...

doh!
cause i wreck when i tangle...

That was me. I'd never had a problem sending with the same sized tube through USPS undamaged, and had done it a dozen times before. Never again...
