That's gotta be the high price for the ASSK offset, right?
Most definitely. But it was a charity auction and probably many folks in the audience had never seen or heard of the print before.
And that's the offset. But I only see the estimated value. What did it actually sell for...?!?

This was taken off the Charitybuzz site this morning

Have a link?

What's the size on that one? Is it actually an HPM, or is it a stencil collage?

Yes, I can read. But the canvas that sold on CharityBuzz was a stencil collage, correct? Usually fine art editions are one or the other...not both. And it's not such an intricate work that you would think it would require screenprinting, so...makes me wonder if it might be mislabeled.

If not, though...strong price for an HPM.

there was one of each:

HPM 28X36
http://www.charitybuzz.com/catalog_items/1052084" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Canvas stencil collage 44x60
http://www.charitybuzz.com/catalog_items/93689" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

i want to know what that "defend equality" fine art piece went for.
anyone???

For what looks like a basic screeenprint on wood, this has to be a new high for an image that is not highly demanded. I think Shep's fine art audience is ready to pay for the short supply that hits the marketplace.

I dont think that had too much of an effect because most of the other charity items did not sell.

I do like this image, personally. I'll tell you what, though...this auction result makes me feel GREAT about picking up the HPM from Andres! :-)

To be fair, it's a Giant tshirt, not an Obey tshirt. ;-)

Wow, glad I got mine when I did. Whether this is legit or not will depend on what the next one goes for.

True story:

I purchased a print off of eBay, years ago using a BIN, for the then unheard of amount of $149.

That purchase made it into this thread. (Posted by others, not me.)

I proudly hung it on the wall where it sat for several years years, admired by all, until something shiny and new came along (it was a pony, thanks for asking).

So to gather funds, I sold the print, the Wow! This Print Went High-thread-mentioned print, for roughly quadruple what I paid for it.

That's about the time I stopped closely monitoring this thread. :lol:

Wow. Shep is really far sighted in politics. Pre-1980? Obama would have looked more like this. http://www.time.com/time/photogallery/0 ... 60,00.html
