User VisualPollution Has My Picture as His Avatar???

Post by T.C.z. »

So, I log on here for the first time in a little while, and I click on a thread, and bam! my picture pops up as VisualPollution's avatar. The two questions are:

1) To VisualPollution: Why?

2) To everyone else: Does anyone else find this as weird as I do?

If it was someone I knew who was messing with me, I'd assume they'd have done something either more egregious or made a point of letting me know somehow. The fact that it was done without altering the picture in some demeaning way or something of that ilk, along with the fact that he never alerted me to it or made some sort of post to get my attention makes me think this isn't the case.

I guess what really stumps me is that it's not ironic or clever, on top of the fact that it's not done in such a way that would be attacking or demeaning. In fact, there's nothing about it that would be entertaining or funny to other observers because I'M the only one who knows it's me. I don't find it alarming or bothersome by any means--it's just confusing.

um, that and there is a link to my myspace on my blog.

It's funny in an Andy Kaufman kind of way. Had you put some caption on it or something, I think it would have been far more broad (but far less confusing).

I am missing the rude part though. Do I tell people when I think they're wrong? Yes. Do I try to do in ways that are funny and somewhat biting? Yes. Do I consider that rude? I guess some really insecure people might. (see what I just did there?)

the funniest part was that i signed on, started to read the post, and for a second I was like, "I didn't even post this... my account got hacked or something." Then i realized that picture isn't even my avatar. Then i realized the name wasn't mine either. Then I questioned god's existence.

Ok, I think I understand how this works. You think TCz is rude and so now it is acceptable for you to be rude too.

at least come up with something more clever.

clever is over done, ill leave that to banksy, I just thought I would be rude for a moment, that moment is nearing its end.

Marilyn, my comments were directed at the visualpollution guy.

Love the new avatar. See, now that is the cleverness that makes this crepe worth reading. Very nice. If this was the banksy forum i'd be saying

This is getting close to personal attacks. Be careful.

Otherwise, take it to slash dot or any other site.
