As a 50/50-lurker/contributer, I like the change also. I used to be too lazy to actually type in my password. but now, i am a new dude.

A handful (and they for sure couldn't post when they were lurking "guests"). You can check it yourself by clicking "members." A couple have become pretty active fairly quickly. Better still, the geographic distribution has been pretty astonishing with hardly any of them logging in from Baxter's apartment.

Busted.
I've been reading the board often since December 07. I joined March 30, 08.
This will be my first post.
In part I came to join and hopefully participate because I grew tired from chasing listings on ebay. I wanted MORE in the way of information and community. Also, I was curious what a board devoted to Shepard Fairey would be like.
Overall it's been gratifying. I really enjoy the thread of member's images of framed prints. Also, I've been interested to read the "official anticipation" threads. And in general I like many of the various conversations that come up...I find them very insightful.
The members on this board are absolute experts. It's so cool to know there is a place where experts gather to discuss the work.
I am an arts professional working in Los Angeles. Lived here about 20 years. I have been familiar with Shepard's work for a little more than 10 years. I have a decent collection of nearly 30 prints. Some from galleries, too many from ebay, and some from sellers; ie: the Toyroom, and the ObeyGiant site.
I am a sincere collector of SF prints. I buy to build my collection. I have about 6 pcs installed in my home/studio which I rotate out of the frames now and then with others. Also I own with the comfort that if I come up against a financial wall someday there is a possibility of selling to cover my buttocks. So far I've haven't sold anything, and I can't really imagine which of them I would part with at this point.
That's this interloper's story.
Thanks to all of you for the great site.

robotoil wrote:Are there any reports that come with phpBB? I'd love to see a graph of time vs. new members. Seems like we just picked up 200 members in a short amount of time.
While we have a rough-and-tumble "statistics" page, I'm not aware of any reports of the kind you're looking for (though that doesn't mean they don't exist-- I'm just not aware of any).
At this writing, we've picked up 107 newly registered members since the forum changes went into effect on the 12th.
