Help Identify This Artist & LA Framing Question

Questions, Questions, Questions. You got 'em? We'll answer 'em!
Hey everyone, I saw this image while looking on Sherman Gallery's Framing site. Does anyone known who the artist is? Also, does anyone have an opinion on getting stuff framed at Sherman Gallery vs getting stuff framed at Castellis? I need to choose which one to use for some new prints. As always, any help is much appreciated.

IMO, Sherman Gallery is the best framer in L.A. you can go to. Probably too expensive for your run of the mill prints, but if you have something that needs to be done right, then they are the ones to go to. Andy is a true gentlemen and a master of his trade. Many artists and galleries seem to agree. Just my $.02

EC, thanks for the help. I will definitely check out more of his work.

RPM, I appreciate the input. I will likely go speak with them.
