The positive side is that the offset will probably negatively affect the 1st edition price so you might be able to get the 1st cheaper.
Isn't it usually the reverse ? The first edition gets more value when a second (offset) edition is released ?
I hope you're right. I was toying with the ideal of selling my Target Exceptions at some point once I saw the recent prices. It's a good image though, and goes so nicely with all the damaged prints, so I might hold onto it for a while longer.

I think the offset moderates the price. It certainly did on LIberte.

I can't think of an example where releasing an offset had a positive effect on the first edition. For $35 you get to scratch the itch for an image you like.
