This I mean I saw the live auction with my own two eyes. There were two men in the room bidding and one person on the phone who won both auctions. If you look closer each "lot" was actually 3-4 pieces. The two live bidders won other things (a Damian Hirst print among others) and I did see one of them cut a check for $14k so I'm guessing that if he had won the Fairey's he would have paid too....

That is a big number. Is it me or have all the pre 2000 prints taken a big step up in the past 6 months. I think I may start just opening at 1k on most of the pre-2000 prints. I won't win but at least people won't think they are going to win Black on Black for $450 up to the last day of the auction.

That print is in such good condition for an oldie it really doesn't surprise me. Not too many of them out there especially in that condition.

Not at all surprised the Obey Giant Islam went for over $1100 today even with the minor wear mentioned in the description. These older pieces are going up.

Not surprised. That print is another Warhol image. A top 10 in by book regardless. I've only seen 6-7 of these. Even with that dinged corner that is a decent price.

I think that is a totally fair if not decent price for this very rare set. Hopefully a board member snagged it.

Maybe it is the pictures. The pictures make it look fantastic, which it is, but rarely do you see it captured in an ebay listing
