Yes!
Im keeping it open so we wont have to do this again for a bit is possible. Also, the raffle thing is taking too much time sadly, but I wanted to give people a chance to get in on that.

Should have happened weeks ago though.

hi, everyone! we're in the home stretch of getting the raffle ready to announce, and what i need now is the forum usernames for everyone who has donated. but, wait! before you go PMing or emailing me, i've just sent an email to the email addresses of everyone who's recently donated, asking for that info. please reply to that email and give me your forum username - simple as that! DO NOT PM ME. just reply to the email that i sent you. if you don't get the email, check your spam filter first and then let me know by emailing me at illyanadmc at thegiant dot org. DO NOT PM ME.

more details to follow, soon!

i'm such a spammer!

i'm just waiting on an image of the piece so that i can make the big post, but i can say that it is "on wood." that's all that even i know!

and, yes, there will be a few days, after the details are posted, for people to donate more money if they want extra raffle chances. :D

the sponsor badge is from our previous fundraiser, a few years ago. i think adam was working to get a new one for this year's raffle, but maybe that got stalled? i'll ask him about it when he gets home from sweden this weekend.

you should tell adam to keep the same sponsor badge and just add another andre star for those who sponsored both times. the new sponsors have one star and repeat sponsors have multiple....

but that just might be a pain in the arse to program

Ohhhh, just saw that almost everyone on this page had one and didn't remember seeing them before. I'm observant, yep...

That might get weird though

The Sneetches, by Dr. Seuss
Now, the Star-Bell Sneetches had bellies with stars.
The Plain-Belly Sneetches had none upon thars.
Those stars weren’t so big. They were really so small.
You might think such a thing wouldn’t matter at all.

But, because they had stars, all the Star-Belly Sneetches
Would brag, “We’re the best kind of Sneetch on the beaches.”
With their snoots in the air, they would sniff and they’d snort
“We’ll have nothing to do with the Plain-Belly sort!”
And, whenever they met some, when they were out walking,
They’d hike right on past them without even talking.

When the Star-Belly children went out to play ball,
Could a Plain Belly get in the game? Not at all.
You only could play if your bellies had stars
And the Plain-Belly children had none upon thars.

ha!

well, he was telling me that it'll be a pain, anyway, because those people who already have one would now have two - so, he'd have to add them for all of the new sponsors, plus make it so that existing sponsors who donated this time now have both badges. the double star idea might be less of a pain - i'll suggest it!

I hate to say it, but as we grow I might be worth going away from the badges since each has to be added. Pretty time consuming for a free site.

The original badges were only for 100 people if I recall. Not everyone got one right? Am I remembering that correctly?

maybe? i can't remember, either. fewer than 100 people have donated this time around, as well, so we can keep this one to 100 people by default, haha!

More important question. Did we get enough to keep the lights on?
