Re: Official Shepard Fairey OBEY Film
Why did Shep give the go ahead to a complete rookie who's never made a film in his life instead of an established Director, like Helen, who could hit this out of the park? http://julianmarshallmedia.com/Resume/Julian_Marshall_Resume_2011.pdf Because he already gave the go ahead to another rookie on...

Re: Charming Baker
I like Mr. Baker's work quite a bit, but the hype machine is in full effect right now. I heard the prices in this show were between 40-80K or thereabouts, which is just hillarious considering work was in the $5-10K range before he signed up with Pat Magnarella (google him). I wish him the best, but...

Re: Anthony Lister
Its got to the point where it has to stop. For Lister I could tell that no way was he going to sell many paintings in the UK in 2011, but he had to do 100 hand finished works, not 10 or 20, but 100! More unsold inventory for another gallerys back room and then on to another gallery, another show and...

Or probably because he does a show in a different country every month for the past 5 years. The quality control is seriously lacking. Please someone tell him to stop and edit sometime.spagucci1 wrote:I think this is the answer.....fribhey wrote: Maybe the price of his work is preventing him from gaining new fans.

I was there yesterday and they still have a handful of pieces available in all price points. Not sure if the newer prints are still available. The last book cover sold before I got there. I was under the impression that all had been sold the first day. They also mentioned that they would be getting...

Thanks QKocur, I too believe you might be onto something and at least you taken time to reflect on what might be, or not might be there. Rather than going for the juvenile easy put downs that stifles rather than promote conversations.

The point is you said you cannot become an artist without going to art school or whatever the sweeping statement he said before, I can't remember is obviously flawed! :P You obviously didn't even bother reading what i said (as proof with your "or whatever the sweeping statement he said" c...

Salvador Dali got kicked out of art school and never finished his studies. Pierre-Auguste Renoir was a shoe tailor and a dressmaker before an artist. Leonardo Da Vinci was not just an artist, he was a scientist, a musician, an architect and a mathematician. Henri Rousseau served in the French army a...

Didn't Laz offer to purchase those PP sets? and actually purchase 1 or more? also, I didn't think Richard got all 6 sets himself. The 6 P/P sets were part of the contract and 5 were owned by Richard and the 6th by the crew that worked on the job. Laz didn't have any interest as he would just 'lose'...

Re: Need Help Appraising a Peace Goddess.
Just re read this thread and I see that quite a few of the 'more educated' members of this forum got caught with their pants down and proves that 'no one knows anything about art'. Now they are crying in their beer shouting 'fix! shill bidding!' to protect their battered egos and shot reputation! Ha...
