The site is totally effed up. First it was asking for the system admin login, then the store is closed, then it's asking for the system admin login again. I remember the old system, and this ain't much better...though I wish it was, this is the first print that I've wanted in a while.

Re: Making of a Mural

I wish they would have shown it from the start. I'm guessing that they project the image on the wall and trace in the major lines - or is there a better/different process for scaling to this size?

Re: New Print: Obama Offset Anticipation Thread

Yes! Got one, just before they sold out. Getting through PayPal was a breeze, but gettingback to OG and getting a confirmation took many, many retries! First print in a while that I really wanted and was able to get. Wish I could have gotten the PROGRESS silkscreen, but this will have to suffice...

Arrgh! Got back to the office to find the print dropped, got one in my cart, got to Paypal, and went into oblivion from there. The next time I was able to connect to OG, the print was sold out.

At least I only spent about ten minutes total. This is getting old, though.

Re: hmmm (more about random sales times, pissing time away)

I've seen this with other artists, Daniel Danger most recently. If something happens that is going to keep you from posting the print, pull the store down and post a message saying "Sorry. We'll try again later. Please check OG.com later for the new time". I don't understand why the team ...

Re: hmmm (more about random sales times, pissing time away)

With all of the new interest in these prints that has built up over the last year, they will sell out no matter the quality of the print or the buying experience. This allows OG to become complacent. OG claims to care about the "true fans" (What is the definition of this? One who buys but ...

All I'm seeing with the "secret method" is "product removed from inventory" messages. I don't know how y'all got your orders through, but congrats- you're more tenacious than a 10 year old girl trying for Hannah Montana tix!

I'm also still a fan, though not as passionately as I once was. But the author does make some good points, and some particularly strong examples were reiterated by omegaiori above. There are definitely clear examples of reappropriating images and changing context to alter meaning (sometimes by subtr...

Interesting - I posted a comment that was critical of this print but fairly innocuous, and it has been deleted. The censorship around here is getting out of hand - no criticism allowed, even if it's constructive.

I wonder how long this comment will stay up? Check back later and see...

I would hope this looks better in person than the preview image- the patterns on the face are too bold. I think they worked better when more subtle, like some of the early Revolution Women. It does feel like more of the same, too- there have been a lot of the Rev Women the last two years, and none h...

Bad hair, over-recycled theme, ugly colorways. I hate to be so negative, but I'm passing again- haven't tried for a print for months, even as trade fodder. I think I got into this OG thang too late, the Golden Age appears to be over.

Obey journal?

What are these things? $25 notebooks? Why does the "Large" cost as much as the "Medium"? No other info, as is so often the case. http://www.obeygiant.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=112 http://www.obeygiant.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&...

Not feelin' it. I do like the concept and the message, but the execution seems rushed. I'd rather see a strong print every 2-3 weeks (or more) than stuff like this and last weeks print every week.
