i'm still in disbelief... best music related news i've heard in 15 years! fantastic planet, in my opinion, is the greatest album ever made and Failure is hands down the most unknown and under appreciated band of all time. they are one of Maynard from Tool's favorite bands and one of their songs was covered by A Perfect Circle (the song nurse who loved me)unioneighteen wrote:What?! here' a video about the re-release of fantastic planet on vinyl with a few cameos by other musicians:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cxv8TCcNBQ
failure live on HBO's Reverb circa 1996: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QaEN4katH0k
if you've never heard of Failure and are a fan of bands like tool, a perfect circle, hum, far, cave in, shiner, jawbox, quicksand, etc. or like dark alternative, space rock, prog, etc... please do yourself a favor and listen to their album Fantastic Planet

Comfort and Fantastic Planet were released on vinyl a couple years ago, you can still get comfort but Fantastic Planet is very hard to find. Rumor has it that magnified will finally be released next month.unioneighteen wrote:i'm still in disbelief... best music related news i've heard in 15 years! fantastic planet, in my opinion, is the greatest album ever made and Failure is hands down the most unknown and under appreciated band of all time. they are one of Maynard from Tool's favorite bands and one of their songs was covered by A Perfect Circle (the song nurse who loved me)

i was lucky enough to be able to see them (twice) before they broke up in 1996 but the majority of my friends never got the chance to see them live. so unbelievably excited to be able to see them again.

Glass Animals
Going to see them in July at the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever, which if you have not been there is a venue worth checking out for any show!
