One is a 1.5" deep canvas and painted on the sides, thinking of not framing at all. The one from his recent show I think i'll do in a black frame with a float on the sides. No Glass. I'll see if I can find a pic of a frame like I mean.

I thought the same thing. I guess I assumed that if each artist has past history with the gallery they're linked to that specific stuff...

Anyone have any news on Sam/FrePrs?

Been wondering if he has anything in the works but this thread has been real quiet for quite some time.

Samuel has really stepped up his work. His focus is clearer and the pieces are even stronger (not to mention larger). Immediate visceral response to the work, very energetic and dynamic while still capturing the feeling from his inspirations. Congrats. Wish I could get out to MKG for this one.

Here is the link to the show for those that haven't seen it yet. Samuels stuff is on the 3rd page. Last I heard, there were a few pieces left.

The Hepburn on Wood (not pictured above - that is the canvas) was $1250. I think canvases were 4-800 more. Not sure on the big Bus canvas which is around 100"x75" (estimate).

Prices were up from the last show (canvases $1300-$1800). From the preview alone, it really feels like he has stepped up his game in regards to design complexity and execution. For me, the subject matter just didn't spark my interest enough to buy.

Some more pics here: http://mkgallery.com/Exhibitions/VIVID- ... /index.php
(just click the more button a few times to get to Sam's stuff)
