Re: phlegm
I had the pleasure to watch Phlegm create this mural in Vodnjan, Croatia, for 5 days straight, about 10 hrs/day:
my appreciation for his work went through the roof after seeing how much work and dedication goes into his murals, and how hard he worked to make an image that blends so nicely with the surrounding.. the way he transfers his line work into murals is so time consuming, but the result is fantastic!.. also, I got to chat with him, and I found out that his new book and most of his previous releases, are 1:1 representation of his work, which makes it all that much more incredible..

A lot of you asked to be informed when my books go back on sale. The books are now up in my shop phlegm.bigcartel.com and should stay there this time.

Phlegm's Bestiary, a non commercial art show/installation will be on view from Sat, 01 Feb 2014 to Tue, 04 Mar 2014 @ Howard Griffin gallery in London:
For The Bestiary, Phlegm creates a modern bestiary within his own universe through an immerse and large scale installation in wood, clay and plaster. Here Phlegm presents a taxonomic categorization of his creatures and collects them in one place for the first time. Within the expansive sections of the installation, and working in bas and high relief, Phlegm displays a series of works inspired by the Lascaux cave paintings. Inspired by the bestiarys of old, these works contain untold fables and narratives.

Sal , you seem to be the guy that may know the answers ,.....
Generaly speaking , and I know it's a broad generalisation , who pays who for this kind of work? , do the building owners have to pay the artist or is the artist grateful for the legitimate wall space to enhance his reputation/push his work that he does it for free/reduced rate.
Sorry if the question is a bit naive.
