It's at the printers now, just finalising a few details with gallery.
So should probably be released in March sometime. Latest April I guess.

Well its been a while since my last screen print release, Independent Woman.
I am pleased to say that my new screen print "Hope" will be released next Friday 8th May at:

http://under-the-bridge.myshopify.com

This was based on a piece I painted in Wokingham, U.K last summer.
Inspired by a 2pac lyric and my beautiful daughter Luna.
The screen print has been created from an original I painted with stencils and spray paint.

There will be 3 limited edition prints available.
All Signed and numbered.

White Edition, a 6 colour screen print limited edition of 35. $100
Warm Grey Edition, a 7 colour screen print limited edition of 25. $125
Aluminium Edition, a 7 colour screen print limited edition of 10. $250

There is also a Blue 7 colour screen print limited edition of 10 Artists Proofs that won't be available through UTBNY.
However I will be giving away one of these Blue AP's.
All you have to do is like and share this post:

https://www.facebook.com/KarlReadArt/po ... 6547974256"

The winner will then be selected at random on Thursday 7th May, the day before the main release.
Thank you all for the support. ;)

Thanks guys.
Not sure about hand finishing these, no plans as of yet.
Decided to release the aluminium variant instead. Pretty pleased with the results on those.
Hopefully have some pics soon.

I saw your post on Instagram. I first thought it was a pug (thug pug) but then read it was a bull dog. Nice job! How many stencils/colors? How long did it take to paint and how long did it take to prepare the image and make the stencils?

Out of curiosity, how often do Europeans use feet/miles? Is it fairly common? Is our weird measuring system infecting your minds? :D

Yeah a British Bull dog puppy. Although i think i prefer your thug pug. ;)
To be honest this was pretty last minute before a trip to L.A. I designed the image and cut half the stencils in a day. Went to L.A, came back after a week and finished off the stencil cutting. (probably another 4 hours ish.
To be honest i took a day to paint this but that was a lot of talking, drinking lots of beer and generally just messing about. This was at Upfest in Bristol, its a great event with artists and general public chatting, painting drinking etc. There were about 6 stencils and a little parts of it done freehand to connect bridges get some kind of texture and shadows in places.

Ha, the feet and miles thing is weird. In Europe i think they have made pretty much a complete switch like you guys. In the U.K we use both. Miles and MPH when driving. I use CM and MM a lot but also ft in certain instances. Kind of all over the place. :)
