He has a thread in the savage possee section

Re: Banksy
I was under the impression that JBOY was a collective group of people, but I may be wrong. I dig their website, it always brings a smile to my face. Love the holiday icon additions, ha! I'm not sure why they are hated but I'm new to this.fribhey wrote:Jboy is one person and used to talk about himself in the third person, now he's referring to himself as "we"
Happy Holidays all!
Re: JBOY
I think all the jboy hatred is a little harsh. For a start, the actual idea works on a few levels esp since the Banksy collab with the Simpsons. And it's got a lot of press which shows that it is worthy of attention for better or worse.
Ppl like MBW are even more brazen in stealing work and flogging it for a huge profit. Making a start in this niche has got to be tough so hats off to jboy for making a go of it.

Re: JBOY
I agree Cokes. My feeling, and its strictly my own, is that there are a lot of people out there who alter the vision or feeling of an "original" concept or piece of work. Be it to express a feeling of amusement or otherwisse.
Where do we draw the line and judge what we feel is outright theft versus what is just a different way of veiwing something seen previously, looking at something in a different way.
A hotpot of thought I know. But trying to be openminded, art, or the alteration of something to express your own vision is pretty hard to make a judgement on. Freedom of expression and all Probably just rambling... sorry

I don't get the message of this print at all. God help us if jboy turns this forum into the mess he has made on the banksy forum

Re: JBOY
Just interested to see if an original was made, apparently one was made for the thinker print... but it was sent to the US for a show (so didnt have the chance to see it). Im just keen to know how 3 pieces were made of this with exactly the same overspray on each product ?
