Skoola

Post by skoola »

here are some progress pics of a new piece i am working on

titled "Bobby Digital - Analog Style"
8" x 12" on brushed aluminum
using laser cut records & sign vinyl

so here is the 12" w/ my custom wutang label, pre-laser cutting

brushed silver vinyl in progress

after silver and gold is cut

the background (metallic rust-colored vinyl on aluminum sheet) after laser cutting

i'm definitely happy with how the records turned out - the grooves look awesome as part of the cutout

will be for sale soon - bobby digital skate decks ready to ship now

I still can't believe you get to shoot lasers around! :D
Seriously, though, this looks great! Your work is always top notch.

Do you have a place where all of your work can be viewed online? I'd love to check out the rest of your stuff!

These are really cool.
If you get a chance, can you elaborate on the process pics for the Bobby Digital piece above. I'm not completely following how this works.

thanks for the compliment.

in my head it all makes perfect sense :)

on a serious note, do you mean just more detail and depth on each step? i'm always open to comments, anything to better get my point across.

also the "bobby digital: analog style" piece from above is still in the early stages, i'm still going back and forth on how i want to finish it up. i've been thinking about using old computer parts and mother boards.
