This is obviously speculation on my part but I have a feeling they may be waiting to drop the prints till later in the day because the web store crash also crashes their email server and that can make it hard to do business. Anything is possible I guess.

Well I'm 100% when I try on Windows and 0% when I try on Mac OS X (meaning I missed this one).

Still good fun though.

I mean, what else would I being doing? Homework? Socializing?

Nope - Just a thought crossing my THC soaked mind. I also remember how peeved Jason would get when the email would be down all day - Thats before your time though

this is ridiculous (although highly believable, since it happened)...i havent bought a print since jan 2007 and the server is like 10x worse...probably just 10x more traffic, but still...

I disagree. I think this one looks great. Mighty powerful image (I think one might be the most powerful to me). And it looks like it's much closer to the style of Duality 1 and 3... Duality 2, to me, is the odd one out of the series (because of it's slightly different graphic style).
I'm sure the original photograph is powerful, not arguing there, but the Obey stamp that this one has just seems uninspired. Illustrator livetrace with an overused pattern background = $22,500 in sales. At least DOH 1 and 3 had some custom elements worked into the photograph. DOH 2 had some interesting coloring with the flower on the hat and a nice composition in terms of the cropping of the image.

And all of a sudden the site works again...

They need to work out and find a way to make these only available to real art collectors or fans or at least upgrade servers

At this point, I have no chance whatsoever of scoring any Obey prints, but maybe it was only the many people interested in completing or collecting a set, my DSL is too slow or something....

I am now of the opinion that OG drops are near enough perfect balance

try scoring from a site that works and is ontime and I bet less people here would of got prints today

my condolences for you today though dude

yeah maybe they can use our webcams to do retina scans to find out who the "real" collectors are.

when will you guys stop with this "real" fan/collector nonsense. what's hard to understand about shepard's continuing growth in popularity. the obama image put shepard on the national map and it's not going to get any easier getting prints. this was an edition of 450, do you honestly think there aren't more then 450 "real" fans trying to get it?

I think a lot of the whining is overblown, but I admit I get cheezed off when I fail to get a print, and yet some account on eBay has 2 for sale the day of the drop.
