That looks super slick! I just caved and bought one of the OGs a little while back  ...that figures, huh?!

The 20th Anniversary Edition is looking mighty shnazzy regardless! The spine is ripping a bit on the original one I got, so maybe I should get one of these, just to be sure, haha.

$37.77 shipped (here in the US) is what the original one was for me, too, but this one has another section or something, right?

Product Description
Updated and expanded to a massive 500 pages, with all the latest artwork from the Nighteeneightyfouria exhibition of 2007, plus Fairey's work in support of the US presidential candidate Barack Obama - Supply and Demand is the book that finally does justice to Shepard Fairey's entire body of work, a massive retrospective covering 20 years of this groundbreaking artist's prodigious output. Through the lens of esteemed writers and critics such as Carlo McCormick, Steven Heller and Roger Gastman, Fairey's work is seen for all its depth and placed in context as art, design, social experiment and "getting over". This massive book pulls no punches and all areas of the enigmatic artist's work, travels and travails are illuminated; from exhibitions, posters, flyers, silkscreens and stickers to high altitude pursuits, citations and police beatings, it's all documented in a museum quality layout and binding. The evidence is in, and it's clear that Shepard Fairey is not one to rest on his laurels, the work must go on. For both long time fans wanting the complete collection and those just curious to know what this OBEY business is all about Supply and Demand is the answer.

The book will have almost 100 new pages and will cover all of the major events since the book was printed.

IE: New York, London, San Francisco, and the Obama campaign. Some of the redundant pages have been removed as well.

The paper in the book will be a bit thinner, to accommodate the extra pages. Its sure to impress!

what's the release date? barnes and noble says January 20, amazon just says january 2009 and i can't find any info on Gingko Press' site about the updated book.

i'll go with January 20th but E Pluribus Venom was delayed over a year so who knows.

new edition supply and demand book

Post by stinkypete »

"Shepard Fairey: Supply & Demand is accompanied by an expanded, limited-edition version of Supply & Demand, the retrospective publication of the artist’s work."

do we think the special edition will be silver and black cover like the exhibition print , and more importantly available on OG website?

The book has been available for pre-order for a little bit now (I heard about it maybe a week ago). It sounds like there'll be about 100 extra pages! :D

Super shnazzy!

I wonder if they are they calling the entire run "limited" (including those available through pre-order on Amazon), or is there a subset of the entire run being held back for sale through OG.com and/or the gallery which will possibly be inked (penciled I guess is the better term)?
