I bought one because I like the image and I'm not going to pay a flipper $150+ on the Bay for a screen print. I can put this one in a cheap frame and not worry about it. :D Sorry-made an error on my earlier post.

590 left.

Page source without a print in your cart is cached and says 1000. If you add one to you cart and then take a peak at the page it is accurate (more accurate)

We have about 2,000 on hand right now.

But we have to ship out the human rights print and actually get Shepard to sign them.

So we're only releasing 1,000 right now so we won't get to backed up.

The number available just hit 500. So, not 1000 in 2 hours, but 500! That is still pretty amazing if you ask me.

I just thought Obey stood by the Supply and Demand logic.

If you supply 2000+ of a decent but not great poster, the demand ain't gonna be that crazy

I know it is an offset, but I'd still rather have an offset knowing there was only 500-1000 sold rather than 2000+

The Limited edition of this print has already been released. This is just an open edition, i dont think they will care what the demand will be, it will sit on there site for who ever to buy for as long as it takes to sell out, if it goes well im sure they will print more, just like the other offset open editions.

you obviously don't understand the idea of an "open edition." it means there is no limit to how many they can print and once it's been determined that it will be an open edition, there is no difference between 500 and 2000+ being printed as it will not have any significant collectible value either way. aside from shep's signature and the use of nice-ish paper, these are no different than something you'd get at a poster store.

as far as supply and demand logic goes, the open editions are actually quite brilliant. on a drop day, there is a much higher demand than there is a supply for the limited prints, so when people are frustrated that they couldn't score one, there is a good chance they will just buy one of the available open edition prints.

read haywood's post again because there is no mention of flippers selling this offset for $150.

your reading comprehension skills are off today. an open edition means that there is no cap to how many can be produced. an edition of 500, 100 or 2000 is not an open edition. the only reason why people are mentioning numbers is because that's how many OG has on hand right now, once they sell out of what they printed then they will print more...

i don't think you understand the "Supply and Demand logic". there is A LOT of demand, therefor they are producing an open edition of an image to supply that demand.... and do you not realize that OG has been selling open edition offsets for a long time now? how is selling this as an open edition any different than selling Obey Ripped, Obey Offset Poster, etc as open editions?
