I'm not a fan of Neil Young, but this is a great looking print. Definitely going for it.

First portrait I'll be going for. Big NY fan.

If you are not familiar with the Bridge School benefit check out some of the past artists who have performed. There is something there for almost everyone and a good cause that Neil and Peggy really believe in. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bridge_School_Benefit
Happy to support it!

Go ahead and try, because I know I'll end up having to buy it on the secondary market given my Thursday schedule. Hopefully not for more than 200. Great image for an excellent player.

I think you'd be highly unlucky to have to pay within 70% of 200 for it after a couple of weeks.

I agree with you there. They are all attractive, especially if you're a fan of these musicians!! I really don't get it.

Despite the other thread I started, regarding prints, I think the portraits are different. In reality, many Obey fans are younger generations. I consider myself old and honestly, have little connection to Iggy Pop, Debbie Harry, Neil Young, even Haring and Basquiat were far outside commonality during their height to many that are drawn to Shep's images.

The Neil photo was taken in 1969 - over 40 years ago. While these portraits are great and might be important historically, they aren't super wall friendly unless you have a connection to them. It's one reason I was drawn to the Dylan image. Even though I don't know much of his music (off the top of my head), the portrait speaks to me and doesn't require the context of knowing it's Dylan. I'm sure that adds to the image for some, but to me, it's not relevant who it is. The emotion on the piece just does it for me. Much like the Ali canvas/print. Not of my time, but definitely evokes an emotional response for me.
Submit. Rapture.

I am super stoked for this print, long time Neil Young and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young fan. Hopefully I can score one. A earlyish drop would be excellent.

My favorite artist and my favorite musician. My wife and I courted to Neil Young's Harvest Moon. Amazing print. A must-have for me. Fantastic work, Shepard!

But then again, as I said, I have a deep connection to Neil and OG, so I can't speak to market value or anything of that sort.

i find it perplexing when people feel the need to inform everyone that they are not buying something.... seems odd to me.

I would like to request that this drop before the France v. Mexico game. I can only do so many non-work related things at work at one time.

I usually use the general consensus as a ballpark indicator as to how diligent I'm going to need to be with the F5 button (or the Mac equivalent)
