Shep home for the holidays...new Charleston mural

Just took these pics as Shepard finished up a new wall in downtown Charleston. Talked to him for about 15 mins and laughed about Hello Kitty and the Poster Child nightmare. He said he had no clue how popular Hello Kitty was going to be and that he really wished he had printed a bigger edition.

Well he always comes home for xmas to see his folks so it's pretty easy to bump into him usually. I had a friend that saw him putting it up and called me.

My parents live near Charleston. Today I got this email and pix from my Dad:

It was such a nice day, we went for a little ride down to Charleston.

Attached are some pix of Shep's wheat paste at Eye Level Art gallery. The location is across the street from a local wino hangout in a rough area of town. While we were there, a young man driving a Porsche 968 convertible pulled up to take some snaps, too. He had not heard of "Andre the Giant Has a Posse."

It really is a very well-done and well-pasted work. I wonder if he had any help, cause it's pretty big.

yeah guys those hello kitty prints were going to be a big hit. Where else are you going to see hello kitty ready to go bomb with an obey giant stencil and spraycan! I personally was able to pickup some of the hello kitty prints but had to stay glued to the computer and have obey's website set to my home page.

btw all these pictures make me incredibly happy!! thats like a mini holiday present in itself seeing shepard do that!

p.s. can anyone tell me what there beset idea is to do archival things for screenprints.
