OK, it's my fault for not following my order up with an e-mail

Why didn't PCP contact me as soon as they received my order? What difference does me sending a separate e-mail make to them receiving an order? Who's to say it wouldn't have taken the same TWO WEEKS for them to reply to my follow up e-mail?

I didn't contact them because I presumed everything was OK. I ordered on drop day and presumed a few got through before the site died. Sorry for presuming.
Your order wad placed before they were officially available for sale. You knew it, and plenty of others knew it. Your order deserved to be cancelled. End of story.

how was he to know they weren't "officially" for sale? he was on the site the morning they were supposed to drop, saw them, and bought them. i didn't look at facebook once, and if i had carted a set early i might not have stuck around to see what the forum had to say.

it's a bit presumptuous to say that he knew it. i don't hear anything from the "plenty of others" that this happened to either...

We know they never went on sale because Sonja from PCP confirmed it. This guy got in an order that never should have been. I understand both sides, but agree that PCP had the right to cancel his order. Get over it and move on.

riiiight... i'm sure she can confirm that the peace series were NEVER listed on the site before she KNOWS they were. c'mon dude, you're talking about the people that thought their sh!tty hosting would hold up for the sale in the first place... i say again: not too tech savvy.

Agreed, the whole event was crepe from the beginning. Assuming that what rosstierney says of his experience is true, and based off my own I can believe it was, then it isn't his fault they sold it to him. The purchase should be honored.

How on earth was I meant to know they didn't officially go on sale? I ordered them on DROP DAY! Are you saying PCP didn't even try to drop them on December 22nd? As far as I can remember, the site was working reasonably well until just after I got my order in. I thought the reason the site went down was because they went on sale! OK, so you agree with PCP about cancelling my order. Do you agree with their lack of communication? Should I not have been given notice and the opportunity to try for them again? Do you think it's reasonable for a business to hold a customers money for over a month? Listen to yourself. Stop being such a d*ck. All I want is to establish contact with Sonja. You are irrelevant.

You knew they didn't go on sale when you came here saying you got a set. I'm done trying to explain how I see the situation. Sorry we don't see eye to eye in this instance.

I agree that it was lame of them to hold your money for that long, they have no excuse for that. It's just bad business to wait weeks after something sells out before refunding someone. The least they could have done was either 1) contact you the day your sale went through (they were busy fixing their site so I understand why they didn't) or 2) refund your money right away...

But if all you want is to contact Sonja then why keep posting here since this site has nothing to do with PCP? As far as I know she only posted here when PCP crashed and hasn't posted since. Contacting them through their site or the contact info in your paypal receipt is your best bet.

Ha ha! Child please! Request a refund though paypal or your cc and get over it. Acting like a little kid is not gonna get you the set.

The one part I don't understand is why you wouldn't try to cover your @ss. If I purchased something, then saw that the site was saying it didn't release, I would be frantically contacting them to see if I was OK or if I needed to try again. Assuming something went through, even after seeing all the shenanigans around the drop while it was happening, was a mistake.

All that said, there is no reason that your money should not have been returned by now. If they thought you did something shady, they should have just canceled the transaction and sent the money back. While the lack of confirmation may be on you, the rest is entirely on them and you have every right to be upset that they haven't sent your money back yet. Best bet is to contact CC company and open a claim. Sorry about the bad luck.

about time. thanks for the well constructed post bdavenport. i had been f5ing for over an hour before i placed my order and after, i left the computer and resumed my life. even when i eventually found out about the fiasco, i thought they would have contacted me so didn't feel the need to contact them. anyway, looks like a charge-back is my only option. sorry for being an unreasonable child.

I do know they are still having web issues. A few weeks ago I was able to add the set to my cart, but couldn't check out because it would figure out shipping, for this or any other prints.

Cliff's notes:

RT scored the set the morning they were supposed to go on sale by sorting the product list by date and jamming an order through when he saw the set show up...PCP cancelled his order 2 days ago accusing him of backdooring the prints before they went on sale, has not refunded his money and will not return his communications. spags swears up and down that there's no way RT could have seen the set and ordered it unless he backdoored it and says that RT should stop being a little b!tch. I contend that spags is not seeing what could be the reality of the situation: PCP have no idea what they're doing tech wise... I mean, they thought their site could handle a pre announced drop of this type. It's not so far off to say they might not know all the ins and outs of their hi tech online store.

If I saw the set go up and placed an order, I might get on with my day and not keep an eye on the forums... sounds lie that's what RT did.

Well that was kind of a novel... totally not my intention!

I actually read all of that, I was more or less referencing the whole situation itself. Sounds like a case for the hardy boys!
