Hired by the sort of luxury brands he once defaced, former graffiti artist KAWS found international fame as a painter and toy maker—and now one of his iconic characters is joining the ranks of Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

27th october : today at 9am people were queuing in front of Kaws s shop Original Fake in Aoyama - Tokyo Japan. It is KAWS ASTRO BOY release date. Less people than for the release of Kaws Resting place companion, but many people though. I got the ticket for 12:00. SO I ahve to wait until that time to get my new KAWS ASTROBOY !!! Pics will come soon !!!

saza,

thanks for sharing the photos. can you do me a huge favor? can you measure how tall it is and let me know? I am putting up a shelf and need to make sure there's enough room for it to fit.

thanks

I have seen this listed at 15" tall. Cannot say that this is accurate, but this is what I have seen.

Those are bootleg figures, I've seen them on eBay and a website that sells knockoff kaws.

Still holding out hope he releases a smurf.

MESSAGE FOR PEOPLE LIVING IN JAPAN

Hello, I m Saza.
I m working for JUMPJUMP blog (http://www.jumpjump.biz).
I m currently working on a book project about Kaws fans.
I m looking for people who like Kaws or toys in general, and have a nice collection / display of Kaws toys at home.
So, I would come to your home with a photographer to take pictures of your collection / display.
If you are interested of being part of this project, please feel free to contact me at : jumpjumptokyo@hotmail.fr
As I m living in Tokyo, you can contact me at any time.
Thanks, Saza
