Although psychoanalyzing Yoshi is great, Mr. Cartoon and Estevan Oriol were rad too. Here's hoping for more guests.

Been listening to dvdasa. As stated above...pure Dave! I'm really enjoying it. The episode when Dave's special chips from Japan go missing is such a good one. Makes me uncomfortable just thinking about it.

Re: David Choe
The Sizzler visit made me think of product placement that is so ubiquitous on TV shows now.
I like Bordains's shows but some of his stuff seems contrived because he wants to prove he's still a badass.
The rest was good though.
Playing drums and painting at the same time, epic. The interaction Dave has with his parents is great also.
Bourdain is using the portrait Choe painted of him as his profile picture on Twitter.

Re: David Choe
he went to sizzler because that's the restaurant that Choe would go to all the time as a child and i'm pretty sure that going to sizzler was not product placement. Bourdain left the travel channel because they used clips of him intertwined with a car commercial to make it look like he was promoting the car:PDC wrote:The Sizzler visit made me think of product placement that is so ubiquitous on TV shows now.

he doesn't have control over the commercials during his show but he's not going to compromise his show, which he has control over, with advertising.
i'd rather watch Bourdain who think's he's a badass than every other celeb chef who thinks their shat doesn't stink and would never be could in a Sizzler.

I'm just kidding around.
I went to Soup Plantation all the time when I grew up. That would be a good place to feature on a show about San Diego? Then Bourdain could tell me how "delicious" it is. Although, it is delicious.
I thought that part of the show was pointless. They could have filled that time in with a BBQ at his studio with a bunch of other artists and his adult entertainment friends, or something actually interesting to watch.
