We The People shipping info???

Post by jotrac »

I know that Obey Giant probably doesn't have much to do with these prints other than providing them-but I've emailed Amplifier Foundation early on with an unrelated question and then emailed them again a few days ago about shipping information and I haven't received a response to either question-

I believe they said they were shipping in February and thought that there might be some kind of information about when things might ship-if I missed the notice-my apologies-but has anyone heard anything???

Thanks in advance for the help-

Just to update-
Within about 10 minutes of posting this question I received a response from Amplifier saying they will ship in March-

The screen prints have started to reach their destinations. I've gotten one of the two I bought.

I was on EB and people had mentioned they started receiving individual prints. No tracking info/shipping confirmation. A few days later my set just showed up.

And boy does it smell good-

The first batch (250 of 5,000) of We The People signed offsets have been tubed and prepared for shipment! Please note, the fine folks at The Amplifier Foundation are shipping tens of thousands of packages throughout the week so your orders will arrive by the end of this month! They’re working as fast as possible to fulfill all the orders so thank you in advance for your patience.

Would be nice if they had an update on the large formats. Last I asked they were still being produced (3 weeks ago or so), or at least that's what the customer servicer said.

Any updates on when the unsigned offsets are shipping? Has anyone received their unsigned set of 5 or 10?

Got mine today (no shipping notification) but I thought I was getting the traditional 24x36 prints on heavier stock. They sent me what they are referring to on their website as "wheat-paster". Thin stock.

That sounds like a mess up on their end because there's definitely a difference between the offsets and the pasters and how the prints were listed and sold. Hope they're not trying to pull a quick one on everyone since they fell behind on ship dates?

What do you know. I got a tube of pasters as well when I ordered an unsigned set of offset litho's on cream speckletone paper, not a set of pasters. What a bummer. Sent them a email and expect them to fix it.

I haven't gotten mine yet. A friend in cali said hers were on really thin paper so i am assuming pasters. Debating canceling at this point

Pasters? They're all pasters. Even the signed ones. Every signed single and every signed set at 24 x36 (that I got, both from KS and amp directly, and the signed offsets I bought from one of the artists) are the exact same paper as the unsigned sets. Don't look at it wrong, you'll make a crease :D

Looks like cream speckletone to me, very very thin cream speckletone!

Mine arrived and while on very thin paper, I really like the set. We are going to frame a couple to give away to friends. Kudos on the packaging. All arrived undamaged which is really saying something given the thin paper.
