IMO it was successful because there was so much liquidity and people were investing in riskier things.

I don't see it as "investing" so much as "gambling", but the line is blurry oftentimes. To me it seems like "investing" in a cryptocurrency is like buying into a share of a programming language.

Sure, it's fun to see the cost of a BTC to go up bigly - but what's the point of it, really?

I never really saw the point in it...same with NFTs. But what do I know....I'm just a guy on his way to becoming a geezer. Only purchase I'm considering is buying a farm from the in-laws.
