here's the preview. It's not a print this week, it's a limited edition (I think a quantity of 100) Obye/Art Prostitute box set....package designed by Shepard, signed on the outside, stamped and hand-numbered on the inside. The size of the box is approximately 5" x 9" x 12". Each box contains mini-retrospective (at least 5 issues) of Art Prostitute magazine...I will get more specific details on the content tomorrow.

Here's a stack of assemble sets...

This is Russ and Marissa assembling the sets in our conference room...

So what are people thinking about this box set? I was hoping for Grenade Girl.... But maybe I'm missing the value (not monitary value, the other kind) of these mags

i am excited about grenade girl, too, but this set looks rad. i am pretty excited about it, and i hope that the flippers will take a week off since there's no print coming out.

Flippers never take time off ... as long as it has Shepard's name and signature on it, they're going to try and make a profit.

For real. One of my former art directors (now dead to me) and a former writer (now shipped off to our San Francisco office) on my team have shown there. Good people.

Just so everyone knows, you do get a print or four with AP. It comes with 4 prints from the artists(not signed) featured in that issue.

But they're fold-outs, and litho printed like the rest of the mag, correct?

No, usually there is a redemption card in the back of each mag... that is good for the 4 lithos... you send the card in... they send the prints back to you. Thats why the books are close to $35-40 new.

They just started doing this. The first 4 or 5 issues had the prints folded in the magazine.
